The PPA College provides school age students the opportunity to engage with a deeper level of specialised and personalised education in the performing arts. Our students undertake their school studies through Distance Education allowing for additional time in the afternoon for students to pursue their performing arts with our unique curriculum. Our Full Time Performing Arts course encompasses one year of intensive training that prepares students for excellent careers in all facets of the entertainments industry: film, television, company dance, world tours, and musical theatre. Our CUA51520 - Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance) equips students with industry level skill in a large range of dance styles, expert-level performance skills, a deep understanding of anatomy for injury prevention, and the physical fitness required to excel at a professional level; the necessary skills in versatility and sustainable self-management demanded by current and future entertainment employers. You’ll also learn how to navigate the competitive nature of auditions and performances, experience working professionally and engaging with professional management, demonstrate theatrical make-up skills, and develop self-marketing skills ensuring you’re readily employable for any role. Our Full Time Musical Theatre course is an intensive year that shapes performers and storytellers into the highly versatile talents of tomorrow, ready to dominate the stage. Our CUA50220 Diploma of Musical Theatre balances honing dance, vocal, singing and acting techniques, transforming students into only the very best triple threat performers with strong creative identities. Industry experience is integrated within our course, allowing students access to professional opportunities and agents to leverage their careers before their graduation. We also prepare students with the drive and perseverance needed to succeed in competitive environments and professional performances, as well as other necessary industry skills like mastering theatrical make-up and hairstyling, and nailing audition etiquette and technique. Designed for high schoolers in Years 7 & 8, students now have the opportunity to relieved from school early on applicable days to complete VET qualifications.  The Certificates' I & II in Dance are foundational qualifications designed to introduce student to a range of dance techniques, performance and choreography skills, fitness and conditioning principles and beginner industry roles. Students in Years 9 & 10 can complete the Certificate III in Dance, which provides essential training in various dance styles, offering a strong foundation for those passionate about pursuing dance professionally. It equips students with technical skills, performance experience, and creative expression through choreography and live productions. Student in Years 11 & 12 can complete the Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management, which develops both performance and teaching skills, equipping dancers to transition into effective instructors.
