ALEXANDRA HARRINGTON

ALEXANDRA HARRINGTON has extensive experience in the Entertainment Industry as a professional performer in Dance and Theatre as well as being a leading Educator of Dance, Drama and Performing Arts.
​
She is an experienced, qualified teacher and certified instructor for the Internationally recognised organisations: Acrobatic Arts (Acro dancer), Tap attack Oz (Tap), Royal Academy of Dance (Ballet), O'Grady Academy (Drama), Trinity College (Musical Theatre, Singing and Drama).
​
Alexandra commenced her professional Dance and performance career at the age of 17 years and has worked both nationally and internationally in live theatre, film, television and theme parks. She was Principle Dancer “Lola” in Baz Luhrmann Film Moulin Rouge, featured in Belinda Emmett’s “Off the Wall” Pop Video, World Expo Aquacade show, Viva Las Vegas Show and the Channel 10 Rockettes to name a few.

She was Dance Captain/Deputy Cruise Director and Casting Director of Princess Cruises Los Angeles performing many theatre productions shows such as Cats, West Side Story and My Fair Lady.
​
Alexandra was Show Director/Choreographer for Walt Disney Special Events Australasia where she directed and choreographed many major live events throughout Australia, Asia and the USA. Some highlights include choreographing the Disney Hercules premiere at Hollywood Bowl Los Angeles and the 50th celebrations for Tokyo Dome.
​
She was Head of Performance at the Australian International Performing Arts High School, Head of Dance at the McDonald College of Performing Arts, and a teacher at the Sydney Dance Company.
​
Alexandra is also the concept and creator of the first VETAB accredited Certificate IV in Performing Arts.
​
Alexandra is the creator of Wild Aussies Pty Ltd, a children’s educational program and entertainment business that offers a wonderful pre-school program for 2.5-5yrs. The live has show travelled Nationally and Internationally educating “Little Aussies” about endangered species which lead to her creating and directing the “Spirits of the Sky”, Tales of Platypus Creek, both world first live animal shows with Zoo’s Victoria at Healesville Sanctuary.

Alex's past students have and are currently working in all aspects of Theatre, Television and Film Nationally and Internationally, from Broadway, West End to Las Vegas in such shows such as The Book of Mormon, Matilda, Les Miserables, Westside Story, and for Britney Spears, Celine Dion and Cirque du Soleil productions.
​
Other students have achieved placements in Classical and Contemporary companies such as The Royal Ballet London, The Australian Ballet and the Sydney Dance Company.
